Old Corfu Town Tour
Corfu Town (Greek: Κέρκυρα - Kérkyra) is a city and a former municipality on the island of Corfu, Ionian Islands, Greece. The old city having grown up within fortifications, where every metre of ground was precious, is a labyrinth of narrow streets paved with cobblestones, colourful and sparkling clean. These streets are called "kantounia" (καντούνια) and the older ones sometimes follow the gentle irregularities of the ground while many of them are too narrow for vehicular traffic. There is promenade by the seashore towards the bay of Garitsa (Γαρίτσα), and also a handsome esplanade between the town and the citadel called Liston (it) (Λιστόν) where upscale restaurants and European style bistros abound.

Achilleion Tour
Achilleion (Greek: Αχίλλειο or Αχίλλειον) is a palace built in Corfu by Empress (German: Kaiserin) of Austria Elisabeth of Bavaria, also known as Sissi, after a suggestion by Austrian Consul Alexander von Watzberg. Elisabeth was a woman obsessed with beauty, and very powerful, but tragically vulnerable since the loss of her only son, Crown Prince Rudolf of Austria in the Mayerling Incident in 1889. A year later in 1890, she built a summer palace in the region of Gastouri (Γαστούρι), now the municipality of Achilleion, about ten kilometres to the south of the city of Corfu. The palace was designed with the mythical hero Achilles as its central theme. Elisabeth spoke Greek better than any of the Greek queens that were her contemporaries and she expressed a desire to further immerse herself in the Greek culture. Like every other European royal, she had some Byzantine emperors among her distant ancestors.

Kanoni - Mouse Island Tour
The combination Kanoni - Vlacheraina – Mouse island has become the trademark of Corfu.
Kanoni will "relax" you with its wonderful view and you will have a great view of airport, Perama, Chalikiopoulou lake and the Mouse island. If you want to visit, get off the path that starts from Kanoni and ends up to Vlacheraina (the Monastery of the 17th century), a small island connected to the mainland by a narrow passage. Here you will find out that many small boats will transport you to the Mouse island, which owes its name to the tiny size, and which according to legend, was a boat of Odysseus which Posseidon made stone. The famous Mouse Island at the entrance of the Chalikiopoulou lake is one of the sights that you will admire. As a natural museum is prohibited to visitors to stay and walk around after the sunset to avoid damaging the virgin beauty. |
Kanoni is located south of the Old Corfu Town, after Garitsa and near the International Airport of Corfu. The colors, (the bright blue, sea blue, emerald green) are an oasis for the eyes and senses. However, the most beautiful time to visit is the time when the sun sets into the deep blue water creating orange and purple hues.
Kanoni is connected with Perama area with a narrow bridge, which creates the Chalikiopoulou lake. The bridge offers amazing view and is also ideal for a nice walk.
